Florence K. Garges , 96, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Telford, PA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

She was born in Franconia Twp., PA to the late Vincent Z. Garges and the late Sallie L. (Kulp) Garges.

Florence worked as a seamstress for the former J. Schoeneman, Inc. in Souderton, PA and then was employed in the glazing department for the former American Olean Tile in Lansdale for more than 25 years.

She was a lifelong member of Upper Skippack Mennonite Church (now known as Wellspring Church of Skippack) and was the oldest living member. Florence she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years and volunteered her time at the church.

She also volunteered at MCC Material Resource Center in Souderton and was a certified volunteer at the Souderton Mennonite Homes.

Florence loved sewing, quilting, counted cross-stitch, knitting, and making her own clothes. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed mowing the lawn on the riding mower, baking Christmas cookies, and traveling on a bus with her sister Evelyn where they visited all 48 states.

Florence was a caring and compassionate woman who was devout in her faith to the Lord and was always willing to help others.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Marie Garges of Telford, PA; her three nephews, Henry W. Garges & wife, Deborah of Harleysville, PA, Paul W. Garges & wife, Eileen of Telford, PA, and Michael P. Garges of Telford, PA.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her three brothers, Vincent K., Leroy K., & Marvin K. Garges; her two sisters, Evelyn K. & Mildred K. Garges, and her sister-in-law, Eva L. Garges.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Wellspring Church of Skippack, 1183 Cressman Road, Schwenksville, Pennsylvania 19473 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral services at 2:00 pm.

Burial will take place at Upper Skippack Old Mennonite Cemetery which is adjoining to the Wellspring Church of Skippack.
