Frederick E. Raupp Jr , 84, of Telford, PA; formerly of Sellersville, PA entered into the presence of his Savior on February 21, 2024 at the Lutheran Community at Telford.

Fred was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Frederick E. Raupp, Sr. and the late Grace H. (Cale) Raupp. He was the loving husband of Carole A. (Seabright) Raupp for 59 years.

He graduated from Dobbins Vo-Tech, class of 1957, in Philadelphia. He received the top student athlete award, getting varsity letters in Track, Cross Country, Swimming and Gymnastics in each of his three years.

Fred enjoyed his years in the US Air Force, serving as a Nuclear Weapons Mechanic and supporting missions during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Much of his career was spent at Powers Regulator Company and their successive owners, ultimately Siemens. His roles spanned from Field Engineer Trainee to Regional Engineering Manager for the East Coast. He enjoyed his work, especially the training of young engineers and the development of effective teams. He became certified in Energy Management and ran his own business, FER Energy Solutions for 12 years. After retiring in 2004, he served nine years as a board member and project manager for Christ's Home in Warminster.

Throughout his adult life, Fred was an active church member, as a deacon and elder at Independent Bible Church of Willow Grove and later at Hilltown Baptist Church. He assisted Carole in the Visitation & Care Ministry and enjoyed hosting missionaries and their families in their home. Perhaps the role that gave him the most joy was teaching the pre-school Sunday school class with Carole.

Boy Scouts was an important part of Fred's life, first as a boy loving the outdoors and earning the Explorer Silver Award. While in the Air Force, he served as a Scoutmaster. Later, he was active in supporting his son's troop and finally he enjoyed seeing his grandson progress to Eagle Scout.

Fred always enjoyed fishing, from his childhood summers at Beach Haven, Avalon and later at the summer house he helped his dad build in Toms River, NJ. For over 25 years, he enjoyed fishing in the pond in his backyard, often throwing in a line after work. He took great delight teaching young kids to fish.

Fred and Carole's home in Sellersville was a special place for family and friends. Together they frequently hosted many meals and gatherings. Carole loved flowers and Fred spent lots of time helping her with the yard. Together, they invested their time into the activities of their children, their church and their friends.

Fred thrived on helping people and was always glad to be an encourager. He often treasured occasions to come alongside young men and help them navigate the opportunities and challenges in life. Fred was blessed with a great memory and strong body between his ability to self-teach himself much of his engineering skills and the sports he excelled at as a young man. Ultimately, he found himself struggling with a diminishing memory and the challenges of Parkinson's Disease. Despite that, he kept busy with the things he loved and helping Carole with little complaint.

As a family, we are comforted and filled with joy at the thought that because of his faith in Jesus, we know he is in the presence of his Savior for all eternity, with a body that is once again strong and a mind that is clear.

Fred is survived by his son, Fred (Renee) Raupp of Denver, PA; his two daughters, Susan (Mark) Davis of Guadalajara, Mexico, Cindy (Steve) Lackner of Perkasie, PA; his seven grandchildren, Freddy (Hannah) Raupp, Hannah (Drew) Oller, Lauren (Dylan) Gehr, Sarah Davis, Esther Davis, Josh Lackner, Jessie Lackner; his great-granddaughter, Korie Gehr; and his brother, Tom (Judy) Raupp. He was preceded in death by his wife Carole A. Raupp and his sister Barbara Goeller.

A viewing will be held at Hilltown Baptist Church, 26 Upper Church Road, Chalfont, PA 18914, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10 am followed by a celebration of life service at 11 am. Burial will take place at Hilltown Union Cemetery.
