Gail G. (Tice) Schilling , 82, of Perkasie, PA; formerly of Hilltown, PA entered into rest on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her faithful cats, Sheba, Tiger, Credence, & Sweetie Pie; her devoted dog, Blackie; and her loving caregivers, Anna & Brendan.

She was the loving wife of the late Robert G. Schilling for 39 years and devoted mother to Robin E. Schilling. Gail was born in Sellersville, PA to the late George Tice, Jr. and the late Ida (Cressman) Tice of Hilltown, PA.

She graduated from Pennridge High School in Perkasie, PA, class of 1960. Gail then graduated from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, PA, class of 1964, with a bachelor's degree in sociology.

During the 1960's & 1970's, she worked as a medical assistant to the former Dr. Paul Nace on Main Street in Souderton, PA. Subsequently, in the late 1970's, Gail worked as a secretary for the former Mega Products where she met her husband. In the early 1980's, she then assisted her husband in launching his business, Beta-Star Corporation, which built sterilizers. During this time, one of her passions was running Robingale Farm in Perkasie, PA where she grew vegetables and raised animals while also raising her daughter. In the mid 1990's, Gail ended her career working as a medical records receptionist in the skilled nursing unit for the Lutheran Community at Telford.

She was an active member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church where she played the piano for the church since 1988 and accompanied the Junior choir for over 25 years. She also routinely volunteered at local nursing homes to play special music concerts for the residents.  Having started piano at age 6, and organ shortly thereafter, music was always a very important part of her life.

Gail was also very artistic and explored a wide range of mediums over the course of her life: charcoal, acrylics, needlepoint, latch hook, wood burning, whittling, and woodworking to name a few.  She loved horses and horseback riding, having raised and trained her horse Princess from a foal. Her favorite places were to be outside in nature or in the barn that she and her late husband built, where she kept goats, chickens, rabbits, horses, and cats.  She loved walking, bike riding, taking photos and looking for deer especially at Peace Valley Park with her family and friends.  For years, she served as Storm Spotter, looking for signs of tornados to report.  She also enjoyed throwing fun birthday parties for her daughter and gatherings for relatives, especially outside.  Never one to sit still, she always kept herself busy, whether with artistic endeavors, home and barn improvements, gardening, jelly making, freezing vegetables, lawn mowing, star gazing, and much more.

Gail was caring, creative, musical, nature loving, and an animal lover who always was willing to lend a hand and greatly valued her family and church.

In addition to her parents and husband, Gail was preceded in death by her companion, Julius Feraldo.

She is survived by her daughter, Robin E. Schilling & husband, Martin Franke of Perkasie, PA; her caregiver, Anna Woodlief & companion, Brendan Adams of Perkasie, PA; and her late companion's daughter, Carla R. Frizzle of Louisville, KY.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church, 713 Blooming Glen Road, Blooming Glen, PA 18911, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.

Following the funeral, burial will take place at Blooming Glen Mennonite Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Blooming Glen Mennonite Church Music Fund, Peace Valley Nature Center, or the SPCA.
