Garrett "Chipper" D. Nice , 84, of Quakertown, PA; formerly of Harleysville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at LifeQuest Nursing Center.

He was the loving husband of Esther (Anders) Nice for 61 years. Garrett was born in Franconia Twp., PA to the late Garrett M. Nice and the late Mamie (Derstein) Nice.

He began working as a butcher for the former Gra-Brams, Inc. in Harleysville, PA. Garrett was then employed as a line worker for the former Hatfield Packing Company (now known as Clemens Food Group) in Hatfield, PA for 32 years.

He was a member of Calvary Church of Souderton.

Garrett loved watching baseball, especially the Phillies. He enjoyed camping and watching football and game shows on TV.

Garrett was a hardworking, gentle, honest man who was a good provider for his family and had a good sense of humor.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Brenda Sue Teufel of Harleysville, PA; his three sons, Garrett Todd Nice of Harleysville, PA, Troy Michael Nice of East Greenville, PA, Jamie Scott Nice & wife, Maria of Pennsburg, PA; his five grandchildren – Stephanie, Chelsea, Carter, Lacey, & Lila; his three great-grandchildren - Jordan, Briella, & Alayna; his three sisters, Pauline Price of Souderton, PA, Blanche Nyce & husband, Ronald of Hilltown Twp., PA, Linda Derstine & husband, Terry of Souderton, PA; his brother, Floyd Nice & wife, Joanne of Telford, PA; and his two sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Nice of Telford, PA, Pauline Nice of Souderton, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Ralph & John Nice and his brother-in-law, Willard Price.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 East Broad Street, Souderton, PA 18964 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
