Gary S. Wolfer , 71, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, formerly of Doylestown and Allentown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at The Birches at Arbour Square in Harleysville.

Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of the late Edwin Charles Wolfer and the late Charlotte (New) Wolfer.

Gary graduated from William Allen High School in Allentown, class of 1973. He continued his education at Shippensburg University and later earned his Master's Degree in Business from Lehigh University.

For more than 20 years, Gary served as Senior Vice President at Univest Financial Corporation in Souderton, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and extensive knowledge of business economics.

Outside of his professional career, Gary had a deep passion for history, particularly coal mining history, Civil War history, and the story of the Molly Maguires in Shenandoah. He enjoyed collecting Civil War memorabilia and artifacts, antiquing, and participating in Civil War shows throughout the country.

Gary will be remembered as a hardworking, intelligent, and dedicated man whose interests and knowledge touched many lives.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad Street, Souderton, PA 18964. There will be no formal services.

A private burial will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Allentown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Care and Share Thrift Shoppes, 783 PA-113, Souderton, PA 18964.
