George Louis Miller III , 82, of Telford, PA; formerly of Northeast Philadelphia passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024 at his residence.
George was the loving husband of Patricia "Pat" E. (Speelman) Miller for 38 years. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late George Louis Miller II and the late Mary (Hanley) Miller.
George graduated from Father Judge High School in Philadelphia, class of 1958. He served as an electrician on a submarine for the United States Navy. George was employed as a firefighter for the City of Philadelphia for 25 years, retiring as a Lieutenant. After retiring, he and his wife ran a pet boarding service 'Pets Are Inn" in Telford, PA.
George was a huge sports fan and enjoyed watching and listening to sports. In his younger years, he was a coach for a local little league team in Philadelphia.
George was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a people person and loved talking to others.
In addition to his wife, Pat, he is survived by his three sons, Timothy Miller and companion, Patti Dickel of Trevose, PA, Andrew Miller and wife, Patti of Doylestown, PA, and Brian Miller of Telford, PA; his daughter, Christine Kratz and husband, Robert of Ambler, PA; his seven granddaughters – Shawn Petroff, Danielle Kratz, Amber Miller, Elizabeth Miller, Morgan Miller Danille Marie, and Kelsey Kolodinsky; his two grandsons – Wyatt and Drew Miller; his two great-granddaughters – Brianna Mooney and Emma Mae Kolodinsky; his great-grandson, Sean Mooney; and his brother, John "Jack" Miller of Warrington, PA.
At the request of George, there will be NO services.
