Gerald “Jerry” N. Clemmer, 70, of Harleysville, PA, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Doylestown Hospital.
He was the loving husband of Betty Ann (Landis) Clemmer, with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in September.
Jerry was born in Sellersville, Pennsylvania, to the late Abram Clemmer and the late Emma (Nice) Clemmer-Allebach.
He was a graduate of Souderton Area High School, Class of 1974. He later earned his Associate of Arts degree from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA.
Jerry was a former member of Franconia Mennonite Church and was a current member of Calvary Church of Souderton. For most of his career, he was employed by MoPac/JBS in Souderton, PA.
Jerry enjoyed many things in life, including golfing and playing cards. In his younger years, he especially enjoyed working on his GTO and Chevelle. He took pride in caring for his lawn and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Some of his favorite memories were made traveling throughout the United States with family and friends and riding four-wheelers in the mountains.
Jerry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was hardworking, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was always quick with a witty comment. He had a positive outlook on life and a carefree spirit that brought joy to those around him. Above all, Jerry treasured the time he spent with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Betty Ann, Jerry is survived by his daughter, Tina R. Tangert and her husband, Michael, of Harrisburg, PA; his son, Brett J. Clemmer and his wife, Julie, of Telford, PA; and his eight grandchildren, Quinn, Tessa, Eden, Reese, Aven, Eloise, Lucas, and Natalie.
He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth Jay Clemmer and wife, Marlene of Telford, PA; and his two stepsisters, Joyce Ruth and Mary Lou Bechtel.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Clemmer, and his stepbrother, Richard Allebach.
