Geraldine "Gerry" (Thomas) Smith , 89, of Flourtown, formerly of Souderton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Doylestown Hospital.

She was the beloved wife of the late Dallas C. Smith, Sr. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Gerry was the daughter of the late Walter Thomas and Catherine (Boyle) Thomas.

A proud graduate of Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, Class of 1954, Gerry continued her education later in life, earning an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Gwynedd Mercy College in the mid-1990s.

Gerry began her career in the late 1950s as a Bell Telephone operator and went on to work for many years as a waitress in various restaurants throughout the Philadelphia area. In the late 1990s, she served as an Administrative Assistant for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) in Philadelphia.

A woman of faith, Gerry attended St. John's Methodist Church in Ivyland, PA.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Ruth Pearce of Souderton, PA; John Hartley of San Diego, CA; Geraldine Miller of Philadelphia, PA; and Dallas C. Smith, Jr. and his wife, Kim, of Pensacola, FL. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, her 11 great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Walter Thomas and wife, Marilyn of Tucson, AZ; Robert "Bob" Peirce and wife, Nancy of Delran, NJ; John Peirce and wife, Tracy of New Jersey; and Carol Burke of Warrington, PA.

In addition to her husband and parents, Gerry was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Nicoletti,

her brother, James Peirce and son-in-law, Thomas Pearce.
