Grace D. Leatherman , 91, of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

She was born in Bedminster Twp., PA to the late David G. Leatherman and the late Martha (Detweiler) Leatherman.

Grace was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Souderton Mennonite Homes for more than 40 years. She was also employed in various local area hosiery mills. For many years, Grace was active in the Bristol Mennonite Church in Bristol, PA where she formerly served as a Sunday school and vacation Bible school teacher. She was a member of Deep Run Mennonite Church East where she served on the pastoral care team.

Grace volunteered at the Care & Share Thrift Shoppes in Souderton and for the Auxiliary of the Souderton Mennonite Homes.

She was an avid reader of Christian fiction books. Grace enjoyed crocheting, traveling with her cousin, Esther, and playing Sudoku, Scrabble, and board games. She also enjoyed volunteering.

Grace was a quiet, reserved woman who was always willing to help others.

She is survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and great-great nieces.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her two sisters, Alice Myers & Anna Mae Detweiler and her four brothers, Elmer, Samuel, David, & Willard Leatherman.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at Deep Run Mennonite Church East, 350 Kellers Church Road, Perkasie, Pennsylvania 18944. People are invited to watch online via the church's website at www.deepruneast.org

Burial will take place at Deep Run Mennonite Cemetery East.
