Harley Clemens Delp, 89, of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

Born November 23, 1930 in Harleysville, son of Paul M. and Eva (Clemens) Delp, he married Verna (Landis) on January 27, 1951, after first meeting while ice skating at Green Lane Park. They were married for 69 years.

He served in 1-W at hospitals in Long Island and Philadelphia during the Korean Conflict after serving in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

Harley began his career as an auto and truck mechanic, initially having his own inspection station and auto electronics shop in Hatfield, and employment with Rosenberger's Dairies, and Lehigh Valley Farms. During his 32 years at Lehigh Valley Farms, he worked first as a truck mechanic, and then many years as a tractor trailer driver delivering milk to grocery stores in the tri-state area in the very early morning.

Harley enjoyed RV camping with his family, and spending time in the outdoors. Summer weekends were often spent at Spruce Lake Retreat in the Poconos. He introduced his family to skiing in the winter and it was a family activity for many years. He also enjoyed golfing regularly with friends.

Up until the last few years, he and his wife spent 26 years traveling to Sarasota, FL and staying for half the year during the winter.

In addition to his wife, Verna, he is survived by four sons; Alan R. Delp and wife Wendy of Souderton, Gary K. Delp and wife Julia of Sellersville, Harley B. Delp and wife Christi, of Coopersburg, and Randy S. Delp and wife Brenda of Telford; his nine grandchildren, Benjamen Delp and wife Grace of Marietta, PA, Joshua Delp and wife Adrienne of Philadelphia, Alex Delp and wife Megan of Avondale, PA, Rebecca Delp of Sellersville, Jacob Delp of Conshohocken, PA, Madeline Delp of Telford, Mackenzie (Delp) Schwenig and husband Joshua of Staunton, VA, Evan Delp of Telford, and Sophia Delp of Coopersburg, PA; and three great grandchildren, Naisa, Yonah and Judah in Marietta, PA; his sister Pauline Godshall of Lansdale, 1 brother-in-law, Henry Landis of Souderton, and two sister-in-laws Sarah Delp of Lansdale, and Diana Delp of Harleysville.

He is preceded in death by three siblings; Rowan Delp, Richard Delp, and Louise (Delp) Detweiler.

Due to the current health crisis/pandemic and current restrictions on gatherings, a private graveside service will be held at Line Lexington Mennonite Cemetery.
