Harold D. Gahman, 85, of Telford, Pennsylvania, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 4, 2026, at his residence.

He was the loving husband of Lucille “Lucy” A. (Clemmer) Gahman, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. Harold was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, to the late Harvey Gahman and the late Maggie (Derstine) Gahman.

Harold was a hardworking and devoted man who faithfully served his family, church, and community throughout his life. He began working on the family farm in Bedminster Township and attended Christopher Dock Mennonite High School before earning his GED. He then attended Lansdale School of Business for two years, where he earned a business certificate. Harold worked as a meat cutter at the former Hellericks Grocery Store in Dublin and the former Stoudt’s Market in Souderton. He later served with Voluntary Service in Pueblo, Colorado.

Harold starting giving lessons to students at Clemmer Music and eventually became the owner where he shared his love of music with several music groups, including The Kinsmen Gospel Bluegrass Music Group and The Musical Messengers. He tuned and moved pianos throughout the area. He retired from Clemmer Music in 2011 but continued volunteering his time repairing instruments for another 15 years.

His faith was an important part of his life. Harold was a former member of Towamencin Mennonite Church, where he served as an elder and, together with Lucy, as youth advisors. He was a founding and current member of Living Faith Fellowship, where he served as an elder, played guitar on the worship team, chaired the building committee, and served with the AV team at the soundboard. He was also a member of Gideons International.

Harold was active in several organizations and enjoyed sharing his many interests with others. He was a member of the Bucks-Mont Two Cylinder Club, the Keystone Radio-Controlled Model Airplane Club (KRC), the Ready Riders Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, flying both model and regular airplanes, and, most of all, music. He loved singing and playing the guitar and found great joy in spending time with his family. Harold had a special gift for fixing things and could repair almost anything. He enjoyed working on family projects and reading and memorizing the Word of God.

Harold will be remembered as a hardworking and generous man with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a bit of a jokester and brought laughter and joy to those around him. Above all, he was a faithful, loyal, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

In addition to his wife, Lucy, Harold is survived by his two sons, Richard “Rick” Dean Gahman and wife, Marcia, of Sinking Spring, PA, and Roger Darin Gahman and wife, Amy, of Telford, PA; his two daughters, Rory Denise Kolb and husband, Brent, of Perkasie, PA, and Rachelle Dawn Alderfer and husband, Michael, of Telford, PA; ten grandchildren, Jordan, Levi, Jesse, Ryan, Luke, Jamie, Ben, Joah, Nicholas, and Grace; four great-grandchildren, Theodore, Emmett, Layne, and Callum; and his brother-in-law, Allen Knarr of Ephrata, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Irma D. Knarr.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Towamencin Mennonite Church, 1980 Sumneytown Pike, Kulpsville, Pennsylvania 19443. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. The service will be Livestreamed.

A private inurnment will take place at Living Faith Fellowship Cemetery.
