Harry Robert "Bob" Moyer III , 82, of Sellersville, PA; formerly of Colombia, South America peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, January 15 ^th , 2021 surrounded by his family. The strong hands that lovingly drew Peter out of the swirling waves, welcomed him Home.

He was a devoted husband to Ruth Ann (Rush) Moyer for 58 years. In addition, he is survived by his two daughters, Rhonda (John) Walker of McDonough, GA, and Jennifer (Keith) King of Lexington Park, MD, his son, Harry R. (Michelle) Moyer IV of Fort Defiance, VA; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; his sister, Ruthann (Bill) Clinton, and his brother Richard L. (Rachel) Moyer.

Bob was born in West Rockhill Township, PA to the late Harry R. Moyer Jr. and the late Alverda J. (Roth) Moyer. A graduate of Pennridge High School class of 1957, Bob went on to graduate from Columbia Bible College, South Carolina. He then served as a missionary with South America Mission for 49 years. He was a life member of Calvary Church, of Souderton, PA.

Found written on the inside of his Bible, the following describes his life:

"Whatever a man does leaves a trail behind, and in his passing, leaves indications of the manner of man he is, of his character, and even something of his plans. It requires only the observant and understanding eye to read what the trail can show. Nor does any person stand completely alone in this world, for when he passes, he brushes, perhaps ever so slightly, upon others, and each is never quite the same." – L. L'Amour

Each of us can say that we have been "brushed" by Bob as he passed through our lives.

Bob understood that his life was not his own. He had been bought with a price, and his life's commitment was to honor his Redeemer with his entire being (1 Cor. 6:20, 1 Peter 1: 17-18). This commitment was first made in the jungles of Peru, when as a young man working construction, God called him to ministry. His commitment drove him to ensure Ruth Ann understood, before they married, that God was calling him overseas. This commitment permeated every relationship and personal encounter he ever had; whether it was Kogi or Wayuu Indians, guerillas or government officials, mountain climbers, businessmen, laypeople, young, and old; all would remember his laughter, his love for his family, and his love for his God.

Retirement from all those years serving with South America Mission did not mean retirement from ministry. It was simply a transition to a different manner of service to his Lord, evidenced in the way he impacted the lives of so many at Calvary Church and the local community.

Finally, the highest priority of each day was prayer. This was a time of fellowship with his Father, when he could pour his heart out to Him. Written on the side of his prayer list is a verse that he would hold on to:

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds." (Hebrews 10:23-24)

This scripture was not only a personal inspiration, it was the desire of his heart towards those he was praying for. It was also the hope he clung to until the very end.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

Burial will take place at Calvary Church Cemetery, Souderton, PA.
