Obituary

Helen (Chilton) Crouthamel , 84, of Sellersville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Phoebe Richland Health Care Center, Richlandtown, PA.

She was the loving wife of Mark K. Crouthamel, Sr. for 66 years. Helen was born in Quakertown, PA to the late Charles Chilton and Helen (Martin) Rosenberger.

She attended the Upper Perkiomen High School class of 1956.

Helen was employed as an assembler for Philco-Ford, Lansdale for 30+ years.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, an avid reader who enjoyed working in her flower beds. She especially enjoyed traveling with her husband, Mark, routinely going to Florida    in the winters. Traveling to Tahiti, Hawaii, Germany, Italy, Alaska and also went on several cruises, most memorable through the Panama Canal.

In addition to her husband, Mark she is survived by her son, Mark K. Crouthamel, Jr. of Zionsville, PA; her daughter, Cathy Glassmyer and husband Scott of Telford, PA; eight  grandchildren, Leah, Nina, Tracy, Mark III, Erin, Ethan, Scott II and Brianna ; her three great-grandchildren, Eric, Theodore and Weston;  her five brothers, Charles "Sonny" Chilton of Baltimore, MD, George Genoe and wife Inga of Coopersburg, PA, John "Chup" Gilley of Quakertown, PA, Raymond  Gilley and wife Charlene of Jappa, MD, and Grover Gilley and wife Sharon of TX;  her sister, Mary "Dolly" Kilian and husband Jim of Oxford, FL.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Richards, and her sisters-in-law, Barbara Chilton and Sue Gilley.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 14th, 2022 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.  A private funeral service will follow.

Burial will take place at St. Peter's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Perkasie, PA
