Henry Stauffer Musselman , age 97, died March 16, 2023 at the Souderton Mennonite Home where he lived for the past 26 years. Born September 25, 1925 in Morwood, PA, the son of Warren and Sevilla (Stauffer) Musselman.

Henry attended school at West Broad Street Elementary in Telford before transferring to Souderton High School for ninth and tenth grades. Upon leaving school, Henry held jobs at Sackman Brothers and Sunlite Shops in Souderton.

In 1943 he moved to Bally, PA to work on Abram Ehst's farm which he loved. He also bought his first car, a 1934 two-door Ford with yellow spoke wheels. In 1947 he met the love of his life, Lois Leatherman, at a young people's meeting. They married on March 18, 1950, and would have celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary March 18, 2023. They lived in Morwood where Henry worked on Wilson Kratz's farm.

Henry loved making things by hand, so he switched to a career in carpentry in October 1954. He worked for Howard Detweiler, Raymond Hess, of Souderton and Feasterville Construction Co. Whether it was helping with a house project for his friends and family, making toys for his grandchildren or working on a project for church, Henry generously shared his time and expertise with those around him. In October 1980, Henry was able to combine his love of building and his deep faith when he accepted a job at Spruce Lake Retreat. Henry and Lois moved to Canadensis, PA where he was the construction coordinator for all new projects. In 1997 Henry retired and moved to Souderton Mennonite Home where he continued his craft, working in the woodshop at the Home.

Henry was a man of deep faith. He became a member of Franconia Mennonite Church in May 1943. He also attended Bally Mennonite Church and then became a member of Allentown Mennonite Church. While at Allentown Henry led singing, taught Sunday School, and served as Sunday School superintendent. In December 1965 Henry and Lois began attending Trevose Mennonite Church. Henry deeply believed in living a faith in action. In May 1966 he was called by the church to preach and was licensed as pastor of the Trevose congregation. He was eventually ordained in 1970. Henry served as Pastor at Trevose Mennonite Church until July 1980. During his time at Spruce Lake Retreat he was active in the Spruce Lake Fellowship. While living in Souderton, he attended Line Lexington Mennonite Church.

Henry loved maps and traveling and recalled routes and details from all his trips. Henry and Lois traveled to California, Puerto Rico, Western Canada, Canadian Maritimes, Hawaii, and a four week road trip across the United States which they enjoyed.

Henry delighted in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Henry is survived by his wife, Lois (Leatherman) Musselman; five children; Martene Musselman Histand of Perkasie, PA; Dave Musselman (Brenda) of New Holland, PA; Larry Musselman (Lin) of Telford, PA; Donna Musselman Kratzer (Doug) of Dalton, OH; and Rich Musselman (Pam) of Port Charlotte, FL. Ten grandchildren; Tonya Histand, Megan Histand, Jill Siegrist, Jenelle Roynon, Danielle Shulenberger, Michelle Breon, Jenna Kempf, Joel Kratzer, Josh Musselman, and Corri Breuers; and 21 great-grandchildren; Cole and Yates Robinett; Iva Yoder; Abigail, Josiah and Zachary Siegrist; Cara and Audrey Roynon; Andrew, Kaylee and Alexis Shulenberger; Keira, Chelsea and Evan Breon; Mason, Micah and Madalyn Kempf; Annabelle, Noelle and Jemma Musselman; and JJ Breuers.

He was predeceased by his parents, son-in-law Ivan Histand, grandson Michael Musselman, great-granddaughter Andie Kempf, brothers Willis Musselman, John Musselman, two infant brothers, Warren Musselman and sisters Edna Yothers and Esther Moyer.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11:00 am, at Souderton Mennonite Home Auditorium, 207 W. Summit Street, Souderton, PA 18964, where friends may meet with the family from 9:30 am until time of service.
