Irma (Conrad) Scheetz , 96, a lifelong resident of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 6, 2021 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.

She was the loving wife of the late James A. Scheetz for 51 years. Irma was born in Souderton, PA to the late Harry Conrad & the late Ida (Alderfer) Conrad and was raised by Mahlon and Irma Alderfer from the age of 6 years old.

She graduated from Souderton High School, class of 1942. Irma was employed as a Pretzel Twister for the former Trotter's Soft Pretzels in Hatfield, PA.

She was a lifelong member of Zion Mennonite Church in Souderton. Irma also volunteered her time at the Care & Share Thrift Shoppes in Souderton.

She loved going to the cabin in the mountains with her late husband. Irma also loved being in the outdoors and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making sweaters and blankets for World Vision, and knitted prayer shawls for Zion Mennonites prayer shawl ministry. Irma was an avid reader of the Bible and daily devotionals. She loved her Dachshund's; all who were named "Fritzy."

She was a caring, generous, kind lady who enjoyed living a simple life.

Irma is survived by her two nieces, Paula Jane Replogle of Pennsburg, PA, Cheryl Mae Steiner & husband, A. Rudolf "Rudi" of Homewood, IL; and her nephew, James M. Conrad & wife, Ann of Ewing, NJ.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Conrad; her sister, Ruth Halteman; and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" Conrad.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964.

Burial will take place at Zion Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
