James J. Fitzgerald, Sr., 61, of Dublin, PA; formerly of Sellersville, PA entered into rest on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

Jim was the loving husband of Maria F. Kirk for 36 years. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Grover "Sonny" C. Fitzgerald, Jr. and the late Shirley Ann (McCarthy) Fitzgerald.

Jim served in the United States Army. He was proud to be a veteran, a true patriot, and he stood for his beliefs.

Jim was the owner and operator of Fitzgerald's Hardwood Floors in Dublin, PA for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Hilltown German-Hungarian Sportsman Club (now known as Hilltown German Club) in Perkasie, PA and a member of the American Poolplayers Association.

Jim loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed playing billiard pool, having friends over for poker night, going to the mountains, and was a collector of all things interesting to him. Jim was a Philadelphia sports fan especially for the EAGLES. He adored spending time with his grandchildren.

Jim was an authentic, honest, smart, hardworking, generous man who had a great sense of humor and his personality set the room on fire.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, James J. Fitzgerald, Jr. & wife, Tess of Quakertown, PA; his two daughters, Jamie Fitzgerald of East Norriton, PA, Aslinn Fitzgerald of Norristown, PA; his four grandchildren, Brynn Rahill of Holland, PA, Landon Frezen of Perkasie, PA, Alana Schaffer of Norristown, PA, Harper Fitzgerald of East Norriton, PA; his sister, Cheryle Ann Davidson & husband, Anthony of Spring Hill, FL; and his two brothers, Brian D.C. Fitzgerald & wife, Vicky of Gibsonton, FL, Darren M. Fitzgerald & wife, Lisa of Upper Black Eddy, PA.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 4:00 pm.
