James "Jim" E. Lahl , Jr. , 85, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Philadelphia, PA went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

He was the loving husband of Dorothy "Dotty" (Thomson) Lahl for 63 years. Jim was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late James E. Lahl, Sr. and the late Sadie (McConaghey) Lahl.

He attended Mastbaum High School in Philadelphia, PA and later received his Graduate Equivalence Degree. Jim served as a radar man in the United States Navy on the USS Howard D. Crow (DE-252).

He was employed as a mechanic for the United States Postal Service in Philadelphia for more than 30 years, until retiring in 1992.

Jim was a member of Immanuel Leidy's Church in Souderton and previously a member of the former Frankford Baptist Church in Philadelphia where he served as a deacon and trustee.

He was a devoted husband, dad, pop, and ggpop who loved spending time with his family. Jim was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a huge EAGLES & Phillies Fan. Jim enjoyed wood working, was a bit of a comedian, and loved telling dad jokes.

In addition to his wife, Dotty, he is survived by his four children, Lorrie A. Kane & husband, William of Southampton, PA, James A. Lahl & wife, Karen of Philadelphia, PA, Karen D. Noone & husband, Stephen of Maple Shade, NJ, Colleen L. O'Hanlon & husband, Sean of Maple Shade, NJ; his 10 grandchildren – Kelly, Joe, Meghan, Holly, Jimmy, Alyssa, Erin, Jamie, Matthew, & Sean; and his 10 great-grandchildren – Mason, Sidney, Peyton, Olivia, Emma, Joseph, Hannah, Jimmy, Lennon, & Bo.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores Hart.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Immanuel Leidy's Church, 273 W. Cherry Lane, Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am.

A private inurnment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
