James "Jim" Vincent Lombardo , 94, a resident at Arbour Square in Harleysville, formerly of Lansdale PA and Livingston, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at the Lutheran Community at Telford.

He was the loving husband of the late Dorothy "Dot" (Ihlo) Lombardo for 44 years. Jim was born in Passaic, New Jersey to the late James Lombardo and the late Mary (Guerneri) Lombardo.

After graduating from Clifton (NJ) High School, Jim joined the Navy, where he served on the USS Severn AO-61 in the Pacific during WWII. He then returned home to attend New Jersey State Teachers College in Paterson. After earning his degree in Business Administration, he attended Rutgers University in Newark, NJ, where he received his law degree. He worked for Chicago Title Insurance Company in East Orange, NJ, as an attorney for over 25 years, where he attained the position of Vice President, Divisional Counsel. After retirement, he opened Arrow Title Insurance Agency, which he owned through the late 90's.

Jim was President of the New Jersey Land Title Association from 1975 to 1976. In 1989, he was named an Honorary Member in recognition of his years of distinguished service to the Association and the land title industry. Jim will be remembered by his many colleagues for his mentorship, professionalism and legal expertise.

Jim loved the beach and spent many happy summers with his family on Long Beach Island, NJ. He and his late wife, Dot, also enjoyed travelling to the Caribbean and to the New Jersey Bar Association Conventions held throughout the US. In 2015 and 2016 he attended the USS Severn reunions in Philadelphia and San Francisco, where he was honored as an original crew member. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed history and military topics.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna L. Lombardo and her husband Jeffrey Fisher of Perkiomenville, PA. In addition to his parents and wife, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Sylvester Lombardo.

A private burial will take place at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, New Jersey. He will be laid to rest next to his late wife, Dot.
