Janet K. (Gehman) Freed , 89, of Telford, PA, formerly of Souderton passed away on Monday, September 19th, 2022 at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, PA surrounded by her loving family.

She was the loving wife of the late John Wesley Freed, Jr. for 34 years. Janet was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Forrest S. Gehman Sr. and the late Leola (Keyser) Gehman.

A graduate of Souderton High School class of 1951 and upon graduation she was employed by Union National Bank & Trust Company, Souderton, PA. Janet retired in 1993 after 42 years.

She was a life member of Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Souderton, PA.

Janet is survived by her two sons, Steven Wesley Freed & wife Joanne of Quakertown, PA, and David Forrest Freed & wife Lori of Tafton, PA; and her daughter, Beverly Stuart and her companion Darryl Bernhard of East Greenville, PA; her eight grandchildren, Daniel, Kellie, Kjell, Jamie, Nick, Dustin, Kyle and Bryce; her five great-grandchildren, Jake, Colton, Liam, Nora and Noah.

Janet was an avid reader, enjoyed doing cross word puzzles and loved going to her cabin on Lake Wallenpaupack.

In addition to her husband Wesley, she was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Yocum, her brother, Forrest Gehman, Jr. and her companion, Russell Sell.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 27th, 2022 at 11:00 am at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964.

Burial will take place at Little Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Telford. PA.
