Janet (Dennhardt) Sargent , 87, of Frederick, PA; formerly of Blue Bell, PA entered into rest on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Grand View Hospital.

Janet was the loving wife of the late Donald Sargent for 39 years. She was born in Honesdale, PA to the late Harry Dennhardt and the late Pauline (Horst) Dennhardt.

Janet graduated from Honesdale High School in Honesdale, PA, class of 1954. After moving to Blue Bell, PA, she worked for the Wissahickon School District and later for Henkels & McCoy. In 2018, she moved to Frederick Living in Frederick, PA.

Janet cherished spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching TV, reading books, and was a crossword puzzle expert. Although Janet was a quiet and reserved woman, you knew you were loved.

She is survived by three sons, David Sargent & companion, Anna Stranieri of Wilmington, MA, Mark Sargent & wife, Traci of Oakton, VA, Steve Sargent & wife, Lorraine of Boyertown, PA; and her seven grandchildren – Devon, Emily, Andrew, Matthew, Tyler, Connor, & Nathan.

In addition to her parents and husband, Janet was preceded in death by her two sisters, Jean Dennhardt and Harriet Mitchell.

At the request of the family, services will be private. Inurnment will take place at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
