Janice Louise (Hart) Baker , 76, of Sellersville, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 17, 2020 at The Community at Rockhill.

She was the loving wife of Charles Franklin Baker for 55 years. Janice was born in Laurel, MT to the late Conrad Hart and the late Elizabeth (Reiter) Hart.

She graduated from Laurel High School in Laurel, MT, class of 1962. Janice graduated from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, Owatonna, MN, class of 1965 with an associate's degree in Bible.

Her primary work was office and secretarial work in churches, a college and a Christian day school. Janice was also a kindergarten teacher for four years. For 17 years, she was a secretary for her husband at the First Baptist Church in Pinole, CA.

Janice was very active in every church that her and her husband served in. Her ministries involved the church nursery, children, and women. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Janice volunteered at the Care & Share Thrifts Shoppes in Souderton, The Community at Rockhill and the former Doctor's Hospital in Pinole, CA.

She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Janice enjoyed sewing, baking, traveling, and volunteering. She also enjoyed taking mission trips with her husband to the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Ukraine, and India.

Janice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was caring, compassionate, hardworking, hospitable, and adventurous.

In addition to her husband, Janice is survived by her daughter, Shelley Kemp & husband, Mark of Harleysville, PA; her son, Timothy Baker & wife, Marie of Vancouver, WA; her four grandchildren – Tyler, Zach, Caroline, & Keira; and her two sisters, Geraldine Peeler of Billings, MT & Marian Krug of Laurel, MT.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wilmer Hart.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Bethel Baptist Church, 754 E. Rockhill Road, Sellersville, Pennsylvania 18960. For those who cannot be in physical attendance, you can watch the service online as it will be livestreamed. Click here to watch the service.

Burial will take place at Immanuel Leidy's Church Cemetery.
