Jeannette (Johnson) Delp , 78, of Sellersville, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA & Telford, PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Quakertown Center.

She was the loving wife of Willis S. Delp for 53 years. Jeannette was born in Lansdale, PA to the late Wilson K. Johnson and the late Virginia L. (Kulp) Johnson.

She graduated from Souderton Area High School, class of 1964. Jeannette attended Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA.

She worked as a teller at the Harleysville Bank in Harleysville, PA. Jeannette then worked as a bus driver for Transportation Services, Inc. in Souderton, PA. She was a self-employed house cleaner in the local Bucks and Montgomery counties. Jeannette worked as a medical assistant for Michael Stierstorfer at North Wales Dermatology. She then was employed as a secretary for Tri-Valley Primary Care in Perkasie, PA.

She was a member of Zion Mennonite Church where she formerly served as a financial secretary. Jeannette was a member of the Pennridge Community Center in Silverdale.

She loved spending time with her granddaughter, Courtney. Jeannette loved watching baseball and football as well as watching and playing tennis. She enjoyed visiting the elderly, chatting with her friends, bird watching, gardening, reading, adult coloring books, and traveling with her husband across North America.

Jeannette was an independent, loyal, kind, caring, loving woman who was devoted to her family and friends. She also had a strong faith in the Lord.

In addition to her husband, Jeannette is survived by her two daughters, Linda Sue Detweiler & husband, Matt L. of Souderton, PA, Wendy Delp of Canton, MA; her granddaughter, Courtney Anne Detweiler of Souderton, PA; her sister, Linda L. Bolin of Spring Mount, PA; her four brothers, Curtis W. Johnson of Souderton, PA, Terrance "Terry" Johnson of Mt. Holly, NJ, Paul "Michael" Johnson of Elizabethtown, IA, Richard "Scott" Johnson of Spinnerstown, PA; and her sister-in-law, Sara L. Johnson of Souderton, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Barry Johnson; her brother-in-law, CP Bolin, and her sister-in-law, Faye Johnson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 11:00 am at Zion Mennonite Church, 149 Cherry Lane, Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964.

Inurnment will take place at Zion Memorial Gardens.
