Joan (Leidy) Moyer , 88, of Souderton, PA entered into rest on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 at Dock Terrace, Dock Woods Campus, Lansdale, PA.

She was the loving wife of James Russell Moyer for 67 years. Joan was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Earl and Alice (Cassel) Leidy.

A graduate of Souderton Area High School class of 1950.

Joan was employed as a Tile Painter for American Olean Tile Co., Lansdale, PA for  years.

Also worked at Jostens of Telford, Moyers Dry Cleaners, Landis Bakery and a Grandview Hospital volunteer in the Maternity Ward.

Life member of Zwingli United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School, helped with catering church banquets and was a confirmation mentor.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, homemaking, handmade crafts, visiting with family, music and sports. She was an active participant at Curves work out studio and is probably the lone survivor of hanging her laundry outside in Souderton. She lettered in field hockey, basketball & cheerleading at Souderton High (School Lane) and shared that love of sports with her children & especially her grandchildren who loved to hear & see her "shoot the ball" in the driveway. Joan was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, always supportive and a kind word to everyone.

In addition to her husband James, she is survived by her daughter, Jill Moyer of Lansdale, PA; her son, Jamie Moyer and wife Katharine; her three grandsons, Dillon, Hutton (wife Susannah), McCabe; five granddaughters, Timoney, Duffy, Grady, Katilina, Yenifer; and her great-granddaughter Cameron Moyer (Hutton & Susannah) ; her brother, Bruce C. Leidy (Dorothy) of Sellersville, PA  and her brother in law Robert Freed of Telford, PA.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Freed

A Memorial Service will be held at a future date and time.

Inurnment will take place at Immanuel Leidy's Church Cemetery.
