Joanne
Alexander
Mar 12, 1945 — Sep 3, 2025
Joanne (Moyer) Alexander , 80, of Telford, PA, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Grand View Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of George "Skip" Henry Alexander Jr., with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Sellersville, PA, Joanne was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mildred (Kulp) Moyer. She graduated from Souderton High School, Class of 1963.
Throughout her life, Joanne was dedicated to serving others through her work and her personal life. Professionally, she held various positions in local businesses like Harleysville Insurance, the Souderton Independent newspaper, Leidy's, and Peter Becker Community. It was her kind and caring nature that fueled her passions in life. Joanne found deep fulfilment in caring for others.
At a very early age, she took on the role of caring for her younger sisters, Bonnie and Joyce, following the death of her mother. Her values inspired her children to have virtue, courage, and compassion. Later in life, her passion turned to her grandchildren. Joanne nurtured a special bond with each of her grandchildren, sharing an abundance of kindness and love, which encouraged the same in them.
A woman of quiet strength and great compassion for others, Joanne was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Joanne contributed to St Jude Children's Research Hospital. Joanne also supported Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for years following the death of her sister by a drunk driver.
Joanne will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was selfless and kind-hearted, always putting others before herself. She had a deep love for nature—an avid bird watcher and gardener, she found joy in quiet mornings on the back patio with her husband. She also cherished traveling with her family, especially to Lancaster County, Lewes and Rehoboth, Delaware & Ocean City, Maryland beaches, Michigan, North Carolina, and a trip to Disney World.
Joanne's legacy is one of love, service, and unwavering dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three daughters, Stacy Landis of Telford, PA, Christie Alexander of Albrightsville, PA, Tiffany Hanish & husband, Ron of Green Lane, PA; her six grandchildren, Jordan, Dakota, Lavanna, Douglas, Sadie, & Maggie; and her sister, Joyce Staehle of Red Hill, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Moyer.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 9:00 am - 10:30 am at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 69 W. Broad St, Souderton, PA 18964, followed by a funeral service at 11:00.
