Obituary

John L. Baker , 59, of Green Lane, PA went home to be with the Lord on December 9th, 2021 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with COVID-19 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.

He was the loving husband of Debra E. (Richardson) Baker for 33 years.  John was born on May 7th, 1962 in New Kensington, PA to Carrie A. (Waddell) Baker and the late Harry L. Baker.

He graduated from Souderton Area High School, class of 1980.   After high school, John went on to attend Upper Bucks Aviation Maintenance Technical School - He loved being in the air, flying, and attending all the local aircraft events.

John was currently serving his community as a Salford Township Supervisor in Montgomery County, PA.

He had a true gift when it came to his artistic and creative ability.  Over the years he enjoyed working on classic cars, planes, and many other items.  John excelled in his work of restoring or fixing anything that was brought to him, it had to be "PERFECT" before he was finished.  John was always working on new inventions and projects.  His door was always open to anyone that needed a hand.

John had a warm and inviting personality, he could make anyone smile.  He had the best embracing hugs.  He enjoyed spending time in God's country where he loved the outdoors, dirt biking, fishing, hunting, and boating.  He looked forward to his golf cart rides with his wife & grandchildren on the weekends.  He and his family enjoyed their vacations at Raystown Lake and the mountains.  John loved his Lord and Savior, you would often find him listening to the Gaither Vocal Band as loud as it would play.  His true passion was his family and he cherished all the time they spent together.

In addition to his wife Debra, he is survived by his three daughters, Alycia D. Bergey, & husband Micah of Green Lane PA, Carolyn E. Parmer & husband, Zach of Telford PA, Laura A. Baker & Wade Loughridge of Green Lane, PA, his four grandchildren Eli R. Bergey, Aiden M. Bergey, Jade E. Bergey & Cole H.
