John Lloyd Swartz , 95, of Telford, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at his residence.

He was the loving husband of Pauline (Jones) Swartz for 11 years. Lloyd was born in Dublin, PA to the late Elmer C. Swartz and the late Clara (Myers) Swartz.

Lloyd worked as a sprayer/order assembler at American Olean Tile in Lansdale for 22 years. He was the owner and operator of Bestway Paper Products in Telford alongside his 1st wife, Lorraine, for 20 years.

Lloyd was a member of Souderton Seventh-day Adventist Church where he served as the head elder for many years and was involved in many activities with the church.

He enjoyed traveling throughout the Middle East, Europe, Russia, Spain, Portugal, India, Australia and the USA. Lloyd also took mission trips where he assisted in building churches and schools. He was an avid reader and enjoyed walking, vegetable and flower gardening, and breeding miniature schnauzers. Lloyd loved watching Lawrence Welk and the Philadelphia EAGLES. He was a devoted family man who loved getting together with family.

Lloyd was a hardworking, outgoing, friendly man who was always willing to help others.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, John L. Swartz of Lansdale, PA; his two daughters, Linda Lorraine Arnold & husband, Thomas of Richlandtown, PA, Janice Elaine Dupper & husband, Dwight of Telford, PA; his six grandchildren – Aimee Swartz, Erich Arnold, Matthew Arnold, Erica Montefusco, Janelle Tongue, & Megan Dupper; his five great-grandchildren – Aurora Stone, Madeline Montefusco, Shane Montefusco, Clara Tongue, & Aiden Montefusco; and his sister, Ellen Baker & husband, Winfield of Sellersville, PA.

In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Lorraine S. Swartz; his 2nd wife, Jesse Mae Swartz; his sister, Marian Myers; and his four brothers, David M. Swartz, Elmer M. Swartz, Jr., Joseph Swartz, & Robert Swartz.

A viewing will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 at Souderton Seventh-day Adventist Church, 207 East Broad Street, Souderton, Pennsylvania 18964 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.

Burial will take place at Trinity Cemetery of Telford.
