John H. Weil , 88, of Harleysville, formerly of Telford Lutheran Community and Souderton went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 19, 2021 at The Birches at Arbour Square, Harleysville, PA.

He was the loving husband of the late Ann Irene (Wasser) Weil. John was born in Telford, PA to the late Jonathan Philip Weil and Mamie (Hartzel) Weil.

John was a graduate of Souderton High School, class of 1950.

He owned and operated Souderton News Agency from 1955 to 1965. John was also a former car salesman for the Keyser-Miller Car Sales in Souderton, and a former partner of Quakertown Ford Dealership.

He is survived by his daughter, Shelley T. Weil and her life partner, Sharon Amspacherl. of Telford, PA; his step-son, Philip Bidden, wife Jill of Telford, PA; his grandson, Ryan Bidden of Philadelphia, PA; his granddaughter, Kara J. Hackman of Green Lane, PA; his two great granddaughters, Gracie Hackman and Larkin Hackman, both of Green Lane, PA.

In addition to his wife Ann Irene Weil, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Dorothy Heckler and Esther Hendricks.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11:00am at the Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA. 18964.  Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:00am until time of service.
