Josefina Ramos Alvarez , 73, of Lansdale, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Abington-Lansdale Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Adrian Ramos Rivera for 32 years. Josefina was born in Anamorós, El Salavdor to the late Christino Alvarez and the late Francisca Benitez Alvarez.

She worked as a dishwasher in the kitchen for Merck, Sharp & Dohme in West Point, PA. Josefina then worked as a meat packer for Godshall's Quality Meats in Telford, PA - Josefina lastly was employed as a factory worker for a former book manufacturing company in Hatfield, PA for 10 years.

She was a member of Centro Cristiano "CRISTO ES LA LUZ".

Josefina loved family, holidays, traveling, reading the Bible, and dancing. She was a caretaker for her sisters.

Josefina was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a beloved grandmother. She had a big heart and would do anything for anybody.

Josefina is survived by her daughter, Yesenia Alvarez of Lansdale, PA; her son, Juan F. Benitez & wife, Gloriaesperanza Medrano of Allentown, PA; her granddaughter, Katelyn Torres of Miami, FL; her grandson, Jonathan Benitez of Miami, FL; her six siblings, Reina Benitez of Sanford, NC, Marina Ortiz Benitez & husband, Jose Ortiz of Hatfield, PA, Angelina Benitez of Bakersfield, CA, Alfredo Benitez & wife, Carmen Benitez of Allentown, PA, Antonio Benitez & wife, Reina Benitez of Hatfield, PA, Neftaly Benitez & wife, Xiomara Benitez of Allentown, PA; her four nephews, Daniel Ortiz & wife, Amelia of Quakertown, PA, Walter Benitez of Sanford, NC, Memito Benitez & companion, Elvia Benitez of Silver Springs, MD, Jose Ortiz & wife, Adriana Lozano of Hatfield, PA; and her two nieces, Zuleima Ortiz of Hatfield, PA and Rosita Benitez of Silver Springs, MD.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Lito Benitez.

A vigil will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 7:00 pm – 2:00 am at Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal Nueva Jerusalén La Celestial, 501 N. Broad St., Lansdale, PA 19446.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am. The service will be Livestreamed.

Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Souderton, PA.
