Obituary

Joseph "Kerry" Duke , 69, of Hatfield, PA passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Doylestown Hospital.

Born in Lansdale, PA, Kerry was the son of the late Joseph H. Duke and the late Dorothy (Landis) Duke. He was a 1974 graduate of North Penn High School.

Kerry spent much of his career working in the processing plant at the former Hatfield Packaging, now Clemens Food Group. Later, he was employed for more than a decade with Moyer's Services Group, Inc. in Souderton, until retiring in 2013.

Kerry was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lansdale, where he actively helped with various church events. He also volunteered with the Food Bank at Emmanuel Evangelical Congregational Church in Hatfield. He also served as a volunteer firefighter with the Hatfield Volunteer Fire Company, was a member of the Hatfield Lions Club, and participated in a local Corvette car club.

Kerry was a passionate car enthusiast who proudly showcased his cars at numerous shows and amassed a large collection of trophies over the years. He also enjoyed driving his cars in local parades throughout the area. He cherished time spent with his beloved German Shepherd, Duke. He looked forward to weekly backyard gatherings with friends and was always eager to strike up a conversation with anyone passing by. He also loved watching game shows and going fishing.

Kerry will be remembered as an outgoing and kind-hearted man.

He is survived by his sister, Karen Barish & husband, Craig of Collegeville, PA; his brother, Kevin Duke & wife, Mary Anne of Telford, PA; his three nephews, Brandon Barish & wife, Trista of Perkasie, PA, Joshua Duke & wife, Alyssa of Doylestown, PA, Tyler Duke of Green Lane, PA; his three great-nephews, Grayson Barish of Perkasie, PA, Cole Barish of Perkasie, PA, Dean Duke of Doylestown, PA; and his great-niece, Evangeline "Evie" Duke of Doylestown, PA.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad Street, Souderton, PA 18964. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
