Joy Denise (Patton) Heitz , 61, of Perkasie, PA; formerly of Pottstown, PA & Laurel, DE entered into rest on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Grand View Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Douglas P. Heitz for 41 years. Joy was born in Laurel, DE to the late Alfred B. Patton and the late Jeanette (Philips) Patton.

She graduated from Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown, PA, class of 1977.

Joy was employed as a bookkeeper for the former Patterson Trucking in Souderton, PA and then for the former Cayuga Pipe Company in Chalfont, PA. She later worked as a kennel worker for Ben Jee Kennels in Telford, PA.

Joy was a member of the Pennsylvania Sled Dog Club. She also volunteered at the former Tails of the Tundra Siberian Husky Rescue in Lansdale, PA.

Joy enjoyed crocheting, dog rescue, skiing, roller derby, listening to pop music, and choral singing in high school. She loved animals, BINGO, and traveling especially to Alaska and Minnesota.

Joy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a generous, caring, outgoing, outspoken woman who had a great sense of humor.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, Bryan P. Heitz & wife, Kathryn of Quakertown, PA, Brad P. Heitz of Perkasie, PA; her two grandsons, Caleb P. Heitz & Colton H. Heitz, both of Quakertown, PA; her three sisters, Cynthia Berglund & husband, Gene of Reinholds, PA, Jan Tayvinsky of Pottstown, PA, Beth Diener & husband, Todd of Lincoln, DE.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and time.
