Obituary

Joy R. (Fulton) Woods , 80, of Montgomeryville, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA, Kansas City, Indiana, Southern Illinois, & Chicago went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at ManorCare Health Services in Montgomeryville.

She was born in Michigan City, IN to the late Luke Fulton and the late Martha (Tanner) Fulton.

Joy worked in the office for the St. Regis Paper Company in Chicago, Illinois. She then served as a chaplain with The Salvation Army in various locations throughout Illinois, Missouri, & Pennsylvania for more than ten years. She then worked as a saleswoman for Macy's in Montgomeryville, PA and later worked as a senior companion for Senior Companion Care Services in Lansdale, PA.

Joy enjoyed watching football, drawing, puzzles, nature hiking, & walking. She was also an avid reader. Joy was an ordained minister and loved serving with The Salvation Army. She dedicated her life to The Salvation Army and passionately gave back to the organization and its people that gave to her so much throughout her lifetime.

Joy was a caring and compassionate woman who was always willing to help others.

She is survived by her three children, Daryl D'Antonio & wife, Karmen of Sugar Creek, MO, Lurana Yoast of Sellersville, PA, Brett D'Antonio & wife, Michele of East Windsor, NJ; her former son-in-law, William Yoast of Robesonia, PA; her three grandchildren – Stephen, Andrew, & Lauren; her six step-grandchildren – Matthew, Robby, Amanda, Daniel, Joseph, & Alexandra; her six step-great-grandchildren – Makena, Shawn, Anthony, Jaxon, Olivia, & Samara; and her sister, Sandra Mitchell of Jemison, AL; and her brother, Steven Fulton & wife, Gloria of Madisonville, TX.

In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by her son, Lance D'Antonio; her sister, Andrea Long; and her brother, Ronald Fulton.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and time.
