Joyce (Anderman) Baker, 79, of Lansdale, formerly of Warminster, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at Brittany Pointe Estates in Lansdale, PA.
She was the loving wife of the late Bruce A. Baker, Sr., for 23 years. Joyce was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Albert Anderman, Jr. and the late Adele (Raid) Anderman-Hoiler.
She graduated from Olney High School, Class 1959. Joyce graduated from Lankenau Nursing School followed by earning a BS in Nursing at Trenton State University. She applied her nursing degree and skills throughout her professional life to enjoy a rewarding career in nursing, healthcare and pharmaceutical industries. Joyce's service to others continued as she founded several support groups at both the North Penn VNA and at Brittany Point for people with neuromuscular diseases including Parkinson's Disease and Mitochondrial issues.
She was a long time member at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hatboro and later a member of Bethel Hill United Methodist Church.
Joyce was always passionate about singing and music. She enjoyed singing in varied choral groups including past memberships in church choirs, Brittany Pointe choir and the Wayne Oratorio Society.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Susan Baker-Wendt, and husband Dennis, of Lansdale, PA, her son, Bruce A. Baker, Jr. and wife, Angela, of Spring Grove, PA, her sister, Ruth E. Anderman of Somerset, NJ, and her five grandchildren; Elizabeth, Andreya, Kayla, Noah and Victoria.
In addition to her husband, Bruce Sr., she was preceded in death by her brother, Albert W. Anderman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be planned at a future date and time.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
