Joyce Ann (Stvrtecky) Manini , 78, of Lehighton, PA; formerly of Harleysville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest.
She was the loving wife of Richard "Dick" Adolph Manini for 59 years. Joyce was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Anton Stvrtecky and the late Ann (Lilge) Stvrtecky.
She graduated from Lincoln High School in Philadelphia, class of 1959. As a teenager, Joyce worked in the sales department for Caldwell Jewelry Shop in Philadelphia. Later she worked as a executive assistant for the CEO of a plastic manufacturing plant in Willow Grove and as a executive assistant for the CEO of an arresting cable manufacturer in Lansdale.
Throughout her lifetime, Joyce was the co-owner of various businesses with her husband. She was the co-owner of the former Mom's Pizza in Lansdale, various restaurants and pizza shops in the Lansdale, Philadelphia, Willow Grove, Harleysville areas, and the former Feldi's Health Food Store in Souderton.
Joyce was a member of Grace Bible Church in Souderton, a member of Faith Community Church in Roslyn, PA where she served as a choir member for 28 years, and a member of Grace Bible Church of Hawk Mountain in Orwigsburg, PA where she sang special music for 11 years.
She loved music, taking drives with her husband, and entertaining guests in their home. Joyce enjoyed watching the Gaither's, making cassette tapes of Christian music, and VHS tapes of Christian speakers. She enjoyed sewing and traveling to Florida,
Joyce was a caring and compassionate woman who had a good sense of humor and was straightforward and to the point. She always remembered to send cards to family and friends on special occasions.
In addition to her husband, Joyce is survived by her sister, Margaret S. Campbell & husband, Robert of East Greenville, PA; and her brother, Jeffery Stvrtecky & partner, John of Tacoma, WA.
A graveside service will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Tuesday, August 18 at 2:00pm
