J udith "Judy" (Allebach) Ziegler , 88, of Souderton, formerly of Lansdale, PA, died on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Souderton Mennonite Homes.
She was the beloved wife of Harold Ziegler, with whom she shared 71 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Lansdale, PA, Judy was the daughter of the late Walter Allebach and the late Ruth (Spangler) Allebach. She attended Lansdale High School, class of 1954.
Judy began her working life as a cashier at the 5&10 store in Lansdale, and later worked in food preparation for area food trucks. She went on to serve in the cafeteria at Harleysville Insurance for 10 years until her retirement in 1997.
A woman of deep faith, Judy was a longtime member of Grace Mennonite Church in Lansdale. She generously gave her time as a volunteer at the Dock Woods Community in Lansdale and the Care & Share Thrift Shoppes in Souderton.
Judy had a warm and friendly nature. She loved knitting, solving puzzles, playing cards, and spending time at the beach in Ocean City, NJ. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Harold, Judy is survived by her son, James Ziegler of Green Lane, PA; her daughter-in-law, Sandra Ziegler of Troy, PA; her five grandchildren, Richard Ziegler, Sara Davidson & husband, Ryan, Gail Balascak & husband, Matthew, Kelly Lisachenko & husband, Gregory, and Robert Ziegler; and her two great-granddaughters, Josephina and Anastasia Lisachenko. She is also survived by her brother, Frank Allebach & wife, Phyllis of Telford, PA, and her sister, Betty Jane Davidson of Lansdale, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert Ziegler; her daughter, Cindy Ziegler; and her two brothers, Walter and Lynn Allebach.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit Street, Souderton, PA 18964, followed by a memorial service at 10:00 AM.
Inurnment will follow at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Harleysville, PA.
