Kathy Dianne (Baker) Fitzgerald , 62, of Schwenksville, PA; formerly of Harleysville, PA  went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Grand View Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Dennis G. Fitzgerald for 36 years. Kathy was born in New Kensington, PA to the late Harry Baker and Carrie Ann (Waddell) Baker of Harleysville, PA.

She graduated from Souderton Area High School, class of 1978. Kathy then graduated from Penn State Main Campus with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. She was employed as a consultant for the former Siemens Health Services (now known as Cerner Corporation) in Malvern, PA for 38 years. Since retirement, in 2019, Kathy worked as an administrative assistant for her husband's company, EMGS Inc. in Schwenksville, PA. She also happily volunteered as a full time Nana, watching her grandchildren.

Kathy was a club leader of the Montgomery County Horse & Pony 4-H Club in Skippack, PA for 20 years. She was a township planning commissioner for the Lower Salford Township. Kathy was a member of Next Community Church in Skippack, PA. She enjoyed her weekly time with her Church community group.

She was a devoted wife, Mother and Nana. She was known for  her "Nana is the name, and spoiling is the game" mindset. You could find Kathy at sunrise each day, reading her bible and meditating on God's word. Kathy had a servant's heart, and was always there for family and friends. Her light and compassion made everyone feel welcome and at home.

She was an avid gardener, and instilled her love of helping things grow on her daughters and grandchildren. Kathy loved to sing, ski, horseback ride and cook for her loved ones. Since 2017, Kathy enjoyed spending time with her husband, family & friends at Lake Wynonah. She created numerous new friendships at the lake, and cherished each one. Her generosity with her time, her energy, her advice, and in so many other ways provided invaluable support to a remarkable number of people. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and had a love for light houses and sunrises.

In addition to her husband, Kathy is survived by her three daughters, Lauren Courts & husband, Chris of Telford, PA, Dianne Wydra & husband, Zakary of Harleysville, PA, Shannon Fitzgerald  & fiancé, Larson Hart of Schwenksville, PA; her five grandchildren – Christopher, Ava, Caden, Raegan & Hannah; her brother, Kenneth Baker of St. Augustine, FL.; her sister, Debbie Jackson & husband, Andy of Middlebrook, VA; and her sister-in-law, Debbie Baker of Green Lane, PA.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Lester Baker.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Next Community Church, 2024 Cressman Road, Schwenksville, Pennsylvania 19473. An informal luncheon gathering will follow.
