Kenneth James Loffer , 61, of Sellersville, PA, formerly of Brick Township, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Grand View Hospital.

Kenneth was born in Neptune, NJ, to the late Gilbert Loffer and Dorothy (Walter) Loffer of Sellersville, PA.

He graduated from Neptune High School in 1979, from Rutgers University in 1983 with a B.S. degree in electrical engineering, and later earned a Masters degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University. Kenneth was employed as an electrical engineer for Fort Monmouth, NJ for 15 years until he took a disability retirement.  As an engineer Kenneth wrote cutting-edge computer programs, named as co-inventor on a patent for software he developed.

After retiring Kenneth worked as a volunteer for several years at Doylestown (PA) Hospital, and later at Biblical Seminary in Hatfield, PA.

During his life, Kenneth was a member of Bethany Bible Chapel of Silverton, NJ and later became a member of Grace Gospel Chapel of Plumsteadville, PA.

Kenneth enjoyed contemporary Christian music and could often be found playing his guitar and singing. While still in high school he combined his technical and musical interests to build a small computer-controlled synthesizer. In later years he spent some of his time singing in the choir at Rockhill Community.

In addition to his mother, Dorothy Loffer, Kenneth is survived by his two sisters, Karen McLaren and husband Peter of Bowie, MD, Linda Kramer and husband Larry of Middlesex, NJ. He will also be missed by his nieces and nephews:  Miriam, Sarah (with Justin Schroth), and Ruth Kramer; Stephanie, Andrew, and Teaque (with Kolby Maxwell) McLaren.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Grace Gospel Chapel, 5582 Easton Rd (Route 611), Plumsteadville, PA 18949 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am.  Burial will take place at a later date at German Baptist Cemetery.
