Kevin James Hespell , 29, of Sellersville, PA entered into rest on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Kevin was born in Sellersville, PA to Denise Lynn Hespell and the late James Jeffrey Hespell.

Kevin graduated from Pennridge High School, class of 2012. Throughout his working lifetime, he was employed as a short order cook for various businesses in the local area. He also worked as a security guard for JBS Beef Plant in Souderton, PA.

Kevin was a kind, caring man who had great empathy for others. He was a dependable and supportive friend, a good listener, and always willing to join in and try new things. He was funny with a dry sense of humor, and came up with fun catch phrases dubbed "Kevinism" by his friends. He was intelligent and always curious about life.

In his youth, Kevin spent a lot of time with his cousins hanging out at their grandparent's house. Together they built forts, explored nature, and expressed their creativity and imagination in so many ways. His love of nature, creativity and imagination were always part of his life.

Kevin was always an avid reader. Music was important to him as well, and his favorite bands impacted his life greatly and were a comfort to him. He enjoyed cooking and baking, anime, hiking, and other things too numerous to mention. He had a wonderful group of friends with whom he enjoyed gaming, board games and general fun shenanigans. He loved his cats, especially Pebbles and Cinder.

Kevin will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Kevin is survived by his mother, Denise Lynn Hespell; his paternal grandmother, Sandra Eileen Hespell of Hilltown, PA; his uncle, Jerrold David Hespell of Sellersville, PA; and his aunt, Deborah Susan & husband, Richard Rodrigo of Chalfont, PA.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Franklin Hespell.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 26, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964, followed by an informal visitation from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
