LaRue (Maurer) Grass , 91, of Hilltown Twp., PA passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at her residence.

She was the loving wife of the late Frank L. Grass for 62 years. LaRue was born in Blooming Glen, PA to the late Wilmer Maurer and the late Lizzie (Moyer) Maurer.

She graduated from Hilltown High School, class of 1948. LaRue was employed as a Cafeteria Worker for John M. Grasse Elementary School in Hilltown for more than 25 years.

She was a member of Hilltown Baptist Church where she served in the nursery, participated in the Young at Heart activities, and enjoyed lunches with the Birthday Belles.

LaRue loved spending time with her family and often attended her children's and grandchildren's sporting and music events. She enjoyed cooking, baking, going to the beach, reading, watching the Phillies, gardening, and welcoming guests to her home.

LaRue was a very hospitable, supportive, hardworking woman who loved to laugh, had a sweet disposition and a twinkle in her eye.

She is survived by four children, Keith D. Grass of Hilltown Twp., PA, Patricia L. Heckenberger & husband, Charles of Perkasie, PA, Scott K. Grass & wife, Debra of Lafayette, IN, and Tammy L. Beck & husband, Jeffery of Perkasie, PA; her eight grandchildren – Nathan, Meredith, Christopher, Lindsey, Allison, Derrick, Heather, & Dana; her five great-grandchildren – Holden, Brooks, Bobbi LaRue, Charlotte, & Winston; and her brother, Edgar Maurer of Perkasie, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, LaRue was preceded in death by her two sisters, Verna Paton & Edna Stafford and her three brothers, Paul, Kenneth, & Harry Maurer.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Hilltown Baptist Church, 26 Upper Church Road, Chalfont, Pennsylvania 18914, followed by a visitation from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm.

Inurnment will take place at Hilltown Baptist Church Cemetery.
