Leonard Bruce Keeley , 84, of Telford, PA went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Peter Becker Community.
He was the loving husband of Elsie (Frick) Keeley for 60 years. Leonard was born in Pottstown, PA to the late Howard Clarence Keeley and the late Doris Evelyn (McCarraher) Keeley.
He attended Souderton Area High School and then served in the Pennsylvania National Guard Reserves during the Vietnam War. Leonard was employed as a Flower Grower for the former Telford Wholesale Florists Inc. in Telford for 24 years. He then worked as a laborer for the former Pilgrim's Pride (formerly known as Longacre Poultry) in Franconia, until retiring in 2005.
Leonard was a former member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Telford where he served as an usher, a greeter, a member of the Mission Team, was part of their bowling league, and participated in the Crop Walk. He was a current member of St. Peter's Covenant Church in Hilltown where he served as an usher, a greeter, a member of the Mission Team, attended the retired Men's breakfast group, and participated in the Crop Walk.
Leonard was a former member of Generations of Indian Valley in Souderton. He volunteered at the Table of Plenty in Souderton and volunteered with Pennridge FISH Organization, Inc. in Perkasie, PA.
Leonard loved family gatherings and activities with friends. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, boating, biking, hiking, camping, and gardening.
Leonard was a hardworking, compassionate, generous, loving man with a great sense of humor and was a dedicated provider for his family.
In addition to his wife, Elsie, he is survived by his three children, Roger Bruce Keeley & wife, Dawn of Harleysville, PA, Rhonda Gaye Keeley of Telford, PA, Allen Richard Keeley & wife, Janet of East Greenville, PA; his granddaughter, Samantha Morgan Keeley & fiancé, Johnny Locker of Harleysville, PA; his great-grandson, Murray Hudson Locker of Harleysville, PA; and his sister-in-law, Barbara Keeley of Red Hill, PA.
In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by his twin brother, Howard Richard Keeley; his brother, Jay Edgar Keeley; his sister, Evelyn Doris Keeley; and his sister-in-law, Alice Keeley.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at St. Peter's Covenant Church, 1006 Hilltown Pike, Line Lexington, PA 18932 from 9:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am.
Inurnment will take place at St. Peter's Union Cemetery in Hilltown, PA.
