Obituary

Linda D. (Weese) Rittenhouse, 74, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Blooming Glen, PA passed away suddenly and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at her residence.

She was the loving wife of J. Philip Rittenhouse for 53 years. Linda was born in Cumberland, MD to the late Virgil Weese and the late Gladys (Weese) Argent.

She graduated from Allegany High School in Cumberland, MD, class of 1963. Linda was employed as a secretary for the former Union National Bank (now known as Univest) in Souderton, PA for many years. She also worked as a floral designer for the former Crouthamel Flowers in Souderton and as a secretary for FIFS in Telford.

Linda was a member of Blooming Glen Mennonite Church where she served as a summer Bible school teacher and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Souderton-Telford BPW. She was an avid reader of novels and mysteries. She enjoyed going to Ocean City NJ beach, watching the birds, baking with her granddaughters, flower gardening, and shopping. Linda was a loving and compassionate woman who demonstrated her love for the Lord through her hospitality and caring for her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two sons, John Rittenhouse & wife, Janelle of Souderton, PA, Matthew Rittenhouse & wife, Emily of Telford, PA; and her six grandchildren – Rachel Rittenhouse & fiancé, Aiden LeFever, Kaitlyn VanDerbeek & husband, Mitchell, Jaedyn Rittenhouse, Olivia Rittenhouse, Elyse Rittenhouse & Sophia Rittenhouse.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Weese.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and time.

Burial will take place at Blooming Glen Mennonite Cemetery.
