A graduate of Rockway Mennonite High School (Class of 1950) in Kitchener, Ontario, Lois continued her education at Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana, graduating in 1952.
Throughout her life, Lois worked in a variety of roles that reflected her strong work ethic and versatility — as a bank teller in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, a general manager for Hurst Equipment in Bloomingdale, Ontario, and as a secretary for the Mack trucking company in Indianapolis, Indiana. Above all, she was devoted to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Lois was an active member of her communities, participating in a birthday club and sewing club in Elkhart, IN, and was an active member of Hively Avenue Mennonite Church. Later, she became a member of Central Moravian Church in Bethlehem, PA.
She had a passion for travel and enjoyed exploring the world with each of her husbands. Lois also loved reading, sewing, cooking, and decorating her home for holidays. She never met a stranger — her warmth, kindness, generosity, and grace left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Lois is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Krause Perkins & husband, Herbert "Bart"
of Louisville, KY, and Linda "Lin" Krause Hill & husband, Derek Christopher "Chris" of Grantham, NH; five grandchildren — Diana Kamada, Alyssa Montgomery, Amanda Hines, Alexander Hill, and Anna Hill; and three great-grandchildren — Claire Montgomery, Lucy
Montgomery, and Hazel Hines. Additionally, she is survived by her two nieces, Janice
Merrill & husband, Charles of Richford, NY, and Debbie Bacalles & husband, Peter of
Corning, NY.
She is also survived by four step-sons: John Wayne Mast & wife, Greta of Telford, PA; Keith Allen Mast & companion, Becky Geiger of Brevard, NC; Michael Scott Mast & wife, Cynthia of Harleysville, PA; and Richard "Rick" Carl Mast & wife, Christine of Harleysville, PA; as well as 16 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
