Lonna Lee (Dean) Jennings , 79, of Green Lane, PA; formerly of Souderton, PA passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024.

Lonna was the loving wife of Leonard Lee Jennings for 60 years. She was born in Sellersville, PA to the late G. Frank Dean and the late Margaret "Peg" (Hertzog) Dean.

Lonna graduated from Pennridge High School, class of 1962. She later graduated from Montgomery County Community College, class of 1984 and DeSales University, class of 1988 with a BA in business management. She also studied fashion design at Moore College of Art & Design in Philadelphia.

Lonna spent many years working in banking and was employed as a bank teller for the former First Family Federal Savings and Loan of Lansdale, a teller supervisor for Merck Sharp & Dohme Federal Credit Union, and as a trust officer for Harleysville National Bank. She later worked as a project consultant / trainer for the former Users, Inc. based in Valley Forge, PA (now known as Fiserv) for 18 years.

Lonna volunteered at The Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia and as a board member of the Merck Sharp & Dohme Federal Credit Union. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lansdale.

Lonna was an artist at heart who took joy in painting landscapes in oil, photography, and writing. She loved being outdoors, especially at her home known as "the woods", where she enjoyed flower gardening and tending to her roses. As newlyweds, Lonna and Lee had a wonderful time living in Germany which began her lifelong passion for traveling. She traveled extensively throughout the United States and visited every state except Alaska. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time working on family genealogy and jigsaw puzzles.

Lonna was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who adored her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Meg Keough & husband, Doug of North Wales, PA, Elizabeth Schreier & husband, Steve of Green Lane, PA; her two granddaughters, Katie Keough of Philadelphia, PA, Allison Keough of North Wales, PA; and her brother, G. Frank "Buddy" Dean, Jr. of Telford, PA.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lonna's life on Saturday July 27, 2024 at Ridge Valley United Church of Christ, 905 Allentown Road, Sellersville, PA 18960 from 11:30am – 3:00pm.
