Loretta "Lori" (Halteman) Miller , 89, of Souderton, formerly of Harleysville, PA went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Souderton Mennonite Homes.
She was the loving wife of the late Omar Miller for 61 years. Loretta was born in Franconia, PA to the late Melvin and Laura (Landis) Halteman.
Throughout her lifetime she assisted her brother Lester Halteman at the Reading Terminal Market in center Philadelphia. For many years, Loretta was a cashier for Bergey's fuel center in Franconia.
She was a member of Franconia Mennonite Church. Prior to marriage Loretta volunteered at Laurelville Mennonite Camp. She also did chalk drawings at various churches in the area.
Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who kept a meticulous home. She was an avid reader, and will be remembered for her cooking and baking. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with family and friends and spending the winters in Sarasota, Florida. Loretta also loved playing many board games, bocce ball, and shuffleboard. Sunday evenings will be remembered as a time of visiting families.
She is survived by her two daughters, Renita Leatherman & husband Duane of Telford, PA, Teresa Bergey & husband Kevin of Telford, PA; her two sons, Bryan Miller & wife Cathy of Elizabethtown, PA, and Keith Miller of Telford, PA; her eleven grandchildren, Dustin, Tiffany, Jillian, Sarah, Isabella, Lacee, Haydden, Micah, Tyler, Kaitlyn and Rissa. Fourteen great grandchildren, Clara, Susanna, Marian, Riley, Abigail, Eli, Aiden, Jade, Cole, Oliver, Teagan, Nolan, Kinsley, and Wyatt; her sister Margy Allebach, Palmyra, Pa and her sister-in-law, Kathryn Halteman, Souderton, PA
In addition to her husband, Omar, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Russell and Lester Halteman, five sisters, Sarah Kulp, Eva Godshall, Florence Weaver, Kathryn Detweiler and Marian Halteman.
Family and friends may meet with the family on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Franconia Mennonite Church, 613 Harleysville Pike, Telford, Pa 18969, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am.
Burial will take place at Franconia Mennonite Cemetery on Tuesday morning, July 2nd.
