Obituary

Lynne Rose Malchiodi , 61, of King Of Prussia, Pennsylvania; formerly of Melville, NY passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Abington Memorial Hospital.

She was the loving companion of Chet Perch for 24 years. Lynne was born in Bay Shore, NY to Claire (Ward) Malchiodi of Telford and the late Benjamin Malchiodi.

She graduated from Half Hollow Hills High School in Long Island, NY, class of 1977. Lynne graduated from Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA, class of 1981, with a BS in Biochemistry. She then graduated from Stony Brook University, class of 1983, with a BS in Medical Technology.

Lynne worked as a Blood Bank Technical Specialist for University Hospital in Stony Brook, NY for 6 years. She then worked as a Medical Technologist and a Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator for John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY for 3 years. Lynne worked as a Programmer/Analyst and in the support department for Siemens Medical Solutions in Malvern, PA for 5 years. She then worked as a Software Engineer for Cerner Health Services in Malvern, PA for 16 years. Lynne worked as a Validation Specialist for Validation Partners, Inc. in Ronkonkoma, NY for 3 years. She then owned and operated her own business "Lydgate Technical Communications" in King of Prussia, PA for almost 4 years.

Lynne was a former member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Wyandanch, NY where she played the guitar for church services.

She loved music and played the violin, guitar, flute, and piano.  Lynne was an avid reader who enjoyed knitting and embroidery. She also enjoyed traveling nationally and internationally including annual trips to Florida.

Lynne was a very caring and sociable woman who was devoted to her parents and had a great sense of humor.

In addition to her mother, Lynne is survived by aunts and uncles: Marilyn Kanezo, Joseph Malchiodi, Curtis Ward, and Clara Newell.

In addition to her father, Lynne was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

A viewing will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 East Broad Street, Souderton, PA from 9:00 am - 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am.

Inurnment will take place at Immanuel Leidy's Church Cemetery at the family's convenience.
