Margaret E. (Rice) Hinkle , 99, of Sellersville, PA; formerly of Doylestown, PA entered into rest on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at The Community at Rockhill.
She was the loving wife of the late Richard H. Hinkle. Margaret was born in Pipersville, PA to the late Mahlon Rice and the late Maggie (Erb) Rice.
She was employed as a garment factory worker for more than 40 years.
Margaret was a member of the former St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Dublin and was a current member at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Perkasie. Margaret was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Doylestown Chapter #327.
Margaret loved connecting with her family and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Richard. They enjoyed visiting many people and places across the country in their RV, going on motorcycle trips, and wintering in Florida. Some of her favorite pastimes included bowling, playing Bingo and card games, dining out, and taking care of her indoor and outdoor flowers.
She was an adventurous, fun-loving and hardworking woman who was very caring, especially toward her family.
Margaret is survived by her brother, Albert E. Rice & wife, Miriam of Pipersville, PA; her sister-in-law, Suzanne V. Rice of Perkasie, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Richard, she was preceded in death by her first husband Arthur Cook, sister, Kathryn R. Rush and her four brothers, Norman, Walter, Harold, & Robert Rice.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3668 Ridge Road, Perkasie, PA 18944 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00.
Burial will take place at St. Luke's Union Cemetery in Dublin, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Rockhill Community Benevolent Fund, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA 18960.
