Margaret "Peggy" L. (McCorkle) Mower , 101, of Harleysville, PA; formerly of Northfield, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 27, 2025 at her residence.

She was the loving wife of the late Maurice "Whitie" C. Mower for 62 years. Peggy was born in Atlantic City, NJ to the late Louis G. McCorkle and the late Margaret C. (Brown) McCorkle.

She graduated from Atlantic City High School in Atlantic City, NJ, class of 1941. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She was a member of the International Christian Women's Club, a volunteer at various military hospitals, and was a former Girl Scout Leader.

Peggy was a former member of St. John's by the Sea in Ventnor, NJ, Ocean City Baptist Church in Ocean City, NJ, and Linwood Community Church in Linwood, NJ, where she actively served in various capacities including Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher, and leading Bible studies in her home. She was an active member of Immanuel Leidy's Church in Souderton, PA.

Peggy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid Phillies and EAGLES fan. Peggy loved to cook and bake. She also loved going to the beach. Peggy enjoyed gardening, flower arranging, sewing, knitting, crocheting, feeding the birds, watching the hummingbirds, and crafting. She was also known for her hospitality. She enjoyed spending time with friends and visiting shut-ins.

Peggy was a loving, caring, warm, generous, loyal, kind, friendly, thoughtful, sweet woman who had a good sense of humor and loved the Lord.

She is survived by her four daughters, Linda Long & husband, Gerald "Jerry" of Smithville, NJ, Virginia "Ginny" Proulx & husband, Paul of Toms River, NJ, Cynthia "Cinny" Davis of Miami, FL, Constance "Connie" Merritt & husband, Kenneth "Ken" of Chalfont, PA; her son, Robert "Bob" C. Mower & wife, Tina of Placitas, NM; her 16 grandchildren; her 40 great-grandchildren; her 15 great-great-grandchildren; and her two nieces, Marge Gordon & husband, John of Lewes, DE and Sue Yowell & husband, John of North Wales, PA.

In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Hale and her brother, David McCorkle.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 9:00 am - 10:00 am at Immanuel Leidy's Church, 273 W. Cherry Lane, Souderton, PA 18964, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 am.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Peter Becker Community Chapel, 800 Maple Avenue, Harleysville, PA 19438.

A private burial will take place at Laurel Memorial Park Cemetery in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
