Marina Manuela Correia , 60, of Philadelphia, PA passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at her daughter's home.

She was born in Vieira do Minho, Portugal to the late Belarmino Da Cunha Correia and the late Elvira A. Goncalves Da Cunha Correia.

Marina worked as a machine operator for the former Pincus Brothers in Philadelphia for more than 20 years. She then worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant for the Philadelphia Nursing Home in Philadelphia for 16 years.

Marina loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the Poconos, sitting outside and admiring the nature. In her free time, Marina also enjoyed going to flea markets and thrift stores and was an avid reader of mystery novels and true stories. She loved her pit bulls - Friday, Linda, Junior, Rocky, Bear, & King.

Marina was a hardworking, caring, compassionate, giving, selfless woman who had a good sense of humor and loved to laugh.

She is survived by her daughter, Silvia A. Mercado & husband, Victor of Hatfield, PA; her two sons, Jose F. Peixoto & wife, Rachel of Philadelphia, PA, Fernando J. Arteaga & companion, Brittney Rodriguez of Philadelphia, PA; her four grandchildren – Christopher, Gabriel, Riley James, & Ezrah; and her sister, Maria Goncalves-Correia-Sampaio-Da Veiga & husband, Manuel Sampaio-Da Veiga of Braga, Portugal.

Services will be held at a later date and time.
