Marjorie Grace
Knaefler
Sep 12, 1949 — Jan 15, 2022
Marjorie Grace Knaefler , 72, of Quakertown, formerly of Telford, entered into rest on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Quakertown Center.
Born in Norristown, PA, she was the loving daughter of the late Lawrence C. Sr. and Laura (Whittker) Knaefler. She was the eldest of 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
A graduate of Souderton High School class of 1967, she participated in the theater group and a summer study/travel program to Germany. Marge then graduated from Gwynedd Mercy College, Gwynedd Valley, PA in 1972 with a BS degree in Medical Technology.
Marge was employed for many years as a Medical Technologist at Grand View Hospital. Her expert and gentle technique of withdrawing samples was much appreciated by both in-and-out patients.
She was most recently a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Coopersburg, PA. Throughout the years, Marge enjoyed worshiping, Bible study, and taking part in many activities at the Jarrettown and Souderton wards. She had a gift of playing the piano, did so for several church groups and also served as choir director. She participated in many social activities and was always up for fun trips. She enjoyed organizing and cooking for potluck luncheons and dinners.
Marge was an avid reader of the classics, mysteries, religious, cooking, and self-improvement books. As a child she would read by flashlight under the covers after 'lights out'. She was very caring and gregarious, and enjoyed having in-depth conversations on just about anything. Caring for pets gave her great happiness. She always had a dog or two, and more than one cat. On many occasions Marge dressed up her four-legged friends for pet therapy sessions. Her greatest joy was training and riding her horse, Rebel. Taking day trips on trails through Green Lane Park with her nieces was greatly enjoyed.
Marge is survived by her two sisters, Carol A. McDermott and husband Thomas of Holland, PA and Barbara K. Moyer and husband Gary of Quakertown, PA; her two brothers, Charles B. Knaefler and his companion Marianne DeBellis of Schwenksville, PA; and Lawrence C. Knaefler, Jr. of Telford and Susan Knaefler of Schwenksville, PA; her five nieces and nephews: Andy, Amanda, Kaytie, Chris, and Lawrence III; also 12 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Karen F. Knaefler and her brother, Mark A. Knaefler.
