Mark Kenneth Crouthamel, Sr ., 87, of Sellersville, PA; formerly of Quakertown, PA passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Grand View Hospital.
Mark was the loving husband of the late Helen Ida (Chilton) Crouthamel for 65 years. He was born in Quakertown, PA to the late John Russell Crouthamel and the late Helen Viola (Garis) Crouthamel.
Mark worked as a manager for the former Food Fair (later known as Great Scott) in Quakertown, PA. He was later employed as a Plant Manager for Orbit Manufacturing in Perkasie, PA for more than 30 years.
Mark was former attendee of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Quakertown, PA.
Mark loved hunting and spending time at his house in Potter County. He enjoyed fishing, traveling extensively both nationally and internationally, cruises, listening to classic Country & Western music, and flower gardening. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mark was a hardworking, honest, strong-willed man who was a jack of all trades, a true handyman, and enjoyed helping others on their projects.
Mark is survived by his son, Mark K. Crouthamel, Jr. & fiancé, Gayle Eselby of Zionsville, PA; his daughter, Cathy A. Glassmyer & husband, Scott of Telford, PA; his eight grandchildren – Leah, Nina, Tracy, Mark, Scott, Erin, Brianna, & Ethan; his five great-grandchildren – Eric, Theodore, Weston, Griffin, & Brayden; his two sisters, Donna Nanett Bright of Jensen Beach, FL, Linda Ann Nesfeder of Jensen Beach, FL; his two brothers, Barry "Butch" Crouthamel & wife, Gail of Jensen Beach, FL, Dennis "Denny" Morgan Crouthamel & wife, Cecilia of Quakertown, PA; his three sisters-in-law, Linda Crouthamel of Quakertown, PA, Dolores Mary Crouthamel of Pennsburg, PA, Diane Crouthamel of Center Valley, PA; and his brother-in-law, Luther "Bud" Gruver of Trumbauersville, PA.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his 12 siblings, Pauline "Tut" Marie Schmell, Margaret "Sis" Mae Anders, Anna Faye Breiner, William "Bill" Lee Crouthamel, Richard "Dick" Garis Crouthamel, Russel Lamar Crouthamel, Gloria Jean Gruver, Barbara Jane Feddock, Valeria Mae Urffer, Christine "Tina" Renee Kulp, James "Jimmy" Roger Crouthamel, & Terry Lee Crouthamel; his eight brothers-in-law, Jon Schmell, Reuben Diller Anders, Raymond F. Breiner, Sr., John Feddock, Charles Urffer, Sterling Bright, Leroy Kulp, & John Nesfeder; and his two sisters-in-law, Frances Crouthamel & Karen Crouthamel.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 E. Broad St., Souderton, PA 18964 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 am. The service will be livestreamed.
Burial will take place at St. Peter's Tohickon United Church of Christ Cemetery in Perkasie, PA.
