Marvin "Buck" L. Landis , 91, of Souderton, PA; formerly of Blooming Glen, PA went home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2023 at his residence.

He was the loving husband of the late C. Jacqueline "Jackie" (Derrick) Landis.

Buck was born in Blooming Glen, PA to the late Wilmer M. Landis and the late Mary (Leatherman) Landis.

He graduated from Hilltown High School, class of 1949. Buck served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a delivery man for the United Parcel Service in Willow Grove, PA for more than 30 years, until retiring in 1994. Buck also worked as a carpenter for local carpenters and delivered milk for Lehigh Valley Dairies.

He was a member of the Souderton Lions Club, and also served three years on the Souderton Fire Department after getting out of the War. Buck was a lifetime member at Immanuel Leidy's Church where he served on church council and as a deacon, elder, and on various committees.  He also assisted his wife in teaching the 2 year old Sunday school class for many years, and sang in the church choir.

Buck enjoyed traveling and spent many summers at the New Jersey Shore with his family. He was a very devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Buck was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed watching his grandkids in all their sporting events. He enjoyed word search puzzles, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and exercising.

Buck was a quiet man with a very soft heart. His deep faith in God was portrayed in all that he did and was very evident in the way he lived.

Buck is survived by his son, M. Scott Landis & life partner, Randy Spicocchi of HI; his daughter, Barbara Finley & husband, Ronald of Souderton, PA; his seven grandchildren – Bryan Landis & wife, Katie of Denver, CO, Derrick Landis & wife, Jane of Denver, CO, Kara Landis of Denver, CO, Joseph Finley & wife, Ashley of Schwenksville, PA, Lauren Costa & husband, Nicholas of Quakertown, PA, Patrick Finley & wife, Jennifer of Red Hill, PA, Matthew Finley & wife, Kelsey of Souderton, PA; and his seven great-grandchildren – Presley, Kyle, Grayson, Kayden, Jonah, Liam, & Kameron.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

A private burial will take place at Immanuel Leidy's Church Cemetery.
